Yael leads Accounting Advisory Services for the Ontario & Atlantic region at KPMG Canada and has extensive experience assisting finance teams in both Canada and the U.S. through acquisitions, IPOs, and financial accounting change. Yael specializes in technical accounting requirements under IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE, the accounting and finance application of transaction related matters including carve-out or combined financial statements, business combinations and regulatory matters both in Canada and the SEC in a range of industries including retail, consumer products, financial services and technology. She has be working as a partner in the deal advisory space for 15 years with a strong focus on the accounting and finance both buy and sell side transactions and integration.
Yael works collaboratively with KPMG Forensics on the accounting aspects of negotiating purchase agreements, working capital calculations and post-acquisition dispute resolution including acting as an expert witness on complex accounting related issues. She has provided expert audit opinions, acted as an arbitrator, resolved litigations, and been deposed on numerous engagements over the past 5 years.
