Naveen Gupta

Naveen Gupta is a Partner and Head of the Tax Dispute Resolution practice at KPMG in India, with more than 24 years of professional experience. He has extensive experience of working with multinational groups on managing complex Indian tax controversies and developing effective dispute-resolution strategies. His experience covers significant tax disputes involving treaty entitlement, royalty and technical service taxation, permanent establishment, offshore supply, withholding tax and other cross-border tax matters. Naveen works closely with business leadership and global tax teams to manage litigation risk and develop practical controversy strategies to achieve tax certainty in India. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, lawyer and Company Secretary. He also holds a Bachelor of Honours degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi. He regularly speaks at industry conferences, tax forums and business schools and contributes to professional publications.
