Gauthier is the Global Head of Sustainability at KPMG. He works alongside KPMG teams to help clients accelerate their sustainability transformations and become purpose-led, sustainable organisations. He is responsible for embedding sustainability across Audit, Advisory and Tax & Legal services, helping ensure sustainability is integrated into core client solutions and service delivery.
From 2022 to 2025, he also served as Global Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Global Sustainability (previously ESG) practice, KPMG International. He has been instrumental in shaping KPMG firms’ sustainability capabilities, operationalising the global sustainability strategy, strengthening governance and driving execution across the global organisation. With more than 30 years of international professional services experience, he brings deep expertise in leading complex global audits and advising clients on regulatory compliance, financing transactions, IPOs and strategic acquisitions.
